We are a country of enormous musical talent. Hip hop, rock, pop, rockabilly, indie, blues… we’ve got all of it echoing through the mountain passes, skimming on the lakes, and breezing along the prairies. In honour of our country’s birthday this month, we’ve compiled a few tracks by Canadian musicians to crank up during your moments of summer bliss.

Described as “art rock”, Braids is a Calgarian band now based on Montreal. They create the kind of music that should accompany frolics in the grass.
One of our greatest musical exports, Arcade Fire has been on the scene for over a decade. With pockets full of Juno’s and Grammy’s, they continue to light up our lives with their music. Psst… new album coming soon.
